  About Me

My name is Steven Gray. I live in Greenacres, Florida with my lovely wife Sheila. We have 3 grown children & a grandson.

I've always been a self starter and self motivator. At age 8, I taught myself how to play the guitar. I've always loved it and still play.

I've also had an interest in Electronics since I was about 10, so my parents bought me an electronics kit. That is when I learned how to read schematics and build electronic circuits.

At age 16, I built a simple computer with a Heath Kit. When the first "Commodore 64" computer came out, I had to have one. I taught myself how to use it and I learned programming language. When the next computer came out named "A.D.A.M.", I bought that one. That's when I really got into programming language. This was the first computer I took apart and repaired.

In 1991, I was hired by the Solid Waste Authority, to work in the Utilities Department. I was hired because of my knowledge of electronics and computers. In 1994 I was promoted to supervisor of that department. I really loved my job, but unfortunately, in 1998 I had to leave due to illness.

When I was well enough to work again, I decided to work for myself. I made the decision to learn more about computers. I took courses online and learned what I needed to know to start and run my own computer business.

In 1999, I put an ad in the 55 and older community newsletter, where my Mother-In-Law lives (Covered Bridge). It was a simple ad, listing my services and stating that I would come to your home and give you personal service.

One of my first customers was so happy with my services, he called me his "Guru". And that's how my  name, "Your Computer Guru" came about.

I have now been in business for 10 years. I run ads successfully in about a dozen communities. My business is well established, having served approximately 1000 satisfied customers, residential and commercial, with new and repeat business. I am a proud licensed business owner and a member of the Better Business Bureau with an 'A' rating.

I love what I do and hope I can serve you in the future, whether it be in your home or in your place of business.

Sincerely,

Steven, Your Computer Guru
